I Clicked It Up a Notch - June Favorite

This is the third time I've posted this, but it really is one of my favorites from the month. I've continued to experiment with the tips and techniques I picked up from Click In Mom's Break Out Session on Visualization by Emma Wood. I've fallen in love with the light that flows in my den window and this is where I continue to get some of my best indoor shots. Once again here is my sister secrets shot.

I'm A Mean Mom...

According to my kiddos I've been awarded the "Mean Mom" title because I:

a.  Required them to do their chores
b.  Made them do school work
c.  Filled two large trash bags with crap clutter from their playroom, including my 12 year old dd's fingernail polish, she left out for her younger siblings to paint on my carpet and wall and the 3 board games they purchased at a garage sale with their hard earned $. (In my defense, I did warn them many times to keep them put away properly or I would toss them.)
d.  Said, "No" you can't go to the pool until all your school work and chores are done and the baby finishes his nap.

Hopefully one day, they will thank me, when they realize that despite my meanness, I was attempting to teach them responsibility.  Until then letting them play in the rain in their pjs, should earn me brownie points, right???

Top 5 - 2nd Quarter

Having 7 children, makes choosing my favorite 5 photos very difficult. I really don't want to show favoritism, by posting one child's photo and not another, right?! This quarter was on of much practice and growth, so there were even more photos that I love, which made choosing even harder. I normally cop out and don't do a top 5 post because of all these decisions, but I did choose 5 I love, can't promise they are my favorite, because I have so many favorites.

Just love the stage this busy guy is in, despite how exhausted I feel at the end of the day.  His dancing blue eyes and rosy tongue, just add to his cuteness.  Never mind the fact I cut off his fingers in this pic :P  Keep telling myself to step back...with toddlers you must click quick, or at least that is my excuse, and I'm sticking to it!

Sister secrets! What could be sweeter? These two spend the days, giggling and making messes, but I just love watching them grow and know that they will always be best friends.

My little girl is growing up before my eyes, becoming a beautiful lady. She is so full of mercy and grace....she's also spunky and sassy, keeping me on my toes. My prayer is that her life will radiate the warmth and light of the Father's love to all who meet her.

An afternoon rain shower, provided an excellent photo opportunity. You can see more here. I think this is my favorite from the day, it speaks, sweetness, innocence and peace to me.

Lastly, I took this photo and these after taking this session by Emma Wood through Click In Moms.  It was worth every penny!  It helped me to develop my ability to see light and to process my black and white images.   I used to be in love with color, but since taking this session I have come to LOVE and APPRECIATE B&W in a new way.   I love this photo because it draws me in and leaves me wandering through a sunlit meadow.

Spontaneous Water Play

An afternoon shower led to an impromptu splash party for my two little ones. Here is a big hint of two reasons why I so "needed" the nice set of dual washer and dryers my sweet hubby just bought me.

Stop by tomorrow for some more rainbrella fun and rain dancin'!

Boys Will Be Boys

My plan was to go grocery shopping, but an unexpected downpour resulted in some spontaneous water play. More to follow soon.
